Fixing a computer with runtime error
1. Open Internet Explorer, click the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options." Select the "Advanced" tab.
2. Make sure that the following options are shown: "Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)" and "" Disable script debugging (Other). Click the check box to select the options if they are not labeled.
3. Check if this option is unchecked: "Disabling a notification about every script error." Click the check box to remove the option flag when it is highlighted.
4. Click "OK" and close Internet Explorer. Reopen it to implement the changes.
For other applications
5. Close the run-time error message and the program or application that displayed the message. If the problem is not closed, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open the "Task Manager" window, select the application and click "End Task".
6. Reopen the problem application and check for updates or patches. If the run-time error occurs again, try to uninstall and re-install the program and then download all the updates before you use it.
7. Consult a computer hardware technician if your run-time errors are memory related. You may need to update your computer if it is too slow to keep up with your software, or you need to reformat your computer when viruses have affected your PC into a point of no return.
8. Check if you installed your application add-ons or plug-ins and find out if the runtime error occurred, before or after the installation. If the runtime error came after you installed the plug-ins, try to remove it, restart your computer, and then use your application again to see if the runtime error again.
